POSITION SUMMARY: The Licensed Clinical Supervisor will provide consultation, support clinicians in case conceptualization as well as provide any ongoing support to ensure the client needs are met. This includes but not limited to weekly individual/group meetings to discuss case management and clients outcomes. Providing clinical expertise in documentation, treatment planning, and compliance with Medi-Cal Short Doyle. Reviewing case notes for accuracy and consistency with treatment planning. In cases where necessary, provide clinical interventions to clients requiring additional support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for providing both administrative and clinical weekly supervision of Therapist who are registrants with BBS and/or student interns.
  • Facilitate Group Clinical Supervision
  • Provide daily supervision, training, and evaluation for Clinicians.
  • Provide ongoing consultations, specifically crisis consultations to clinicians.
  • Provide clinical trainings to Clinicians for ongoing professional development.
  • Assistance with ensuring staff is following protocols, policies and procedures and other assignments related to the development and coordination of practice improvement within the assigned program.
  • In collaboration with the intake department and program staff leaders, works in establishing monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports and reviews in tracking staff productivity and/or other related departmental deliverables.
  • Facilitates the day-to-day operations of the clinical services, ensuring appropriate delivery of care.
  • Collaborate with Program Administrators and Recovery Management as needed regarding day-to-day operations regarding the clinical services provided.
  • Provide support to staff as needed by assessing clients’ mental health condition based on review of clientsinformation, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other GLOM staff members.
  • Assures clinical documentation is compliant with regulations, policy and procedures and is complete and accurate.
  • Organize and conduct regular care planning meetings and supervision.
  • Assess the educational and training needs of clinical staff.
  • Maintains appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Implement and monitor multiple systems, including clinical documentation, personnel, and records.
  • Participates in internal and external organization meetings and training as directed by the Clinical Director and/or CEO.
  • Maintains an awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements as they relate to client documentation.
  • Assumes accountability for providing appropriate documentation of all therapy/counseling sessions, significant incident occurrences, phone conversations, etc. consistent with applicable regulatory requirements as well as provides oversite with ensuring staff in compliance with daily required documentation.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of client files.
  • Assures that all needed releases of information and other paperwork are present in the file and up to date. Promptly requests new or additional information and paperwork as needed.
  • Monitor, Co Sign and Approve MHRW, Case Management and Clinicians’ documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in social work or a related field with a license by the Board of Behavioral Science as LCSW and/or LMFT.
  • 2 – 5+ years’ experience providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services to a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood.
  • CPR/First Aid/BLS certification.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • PPD test for tuberculosis and satisfactory results.
  • FBI and DOJ criminal background clearances.
  • Free from state sanctions.
  • Valid driver license.
  • DMV printout, valid.
  • Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment with GLOM.
  • Act as a team member providing input and reporting observations and concerns regarding client care.
  • Be able to present or willing to achieve the necessary Clinical Supervision Approved CEUS in accordance with BBS requirement.
  • Demonstrate the ability to act as part of a team in an appropriate manner in a crisis.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, in an often-ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Mandate reporting when applicable to APS/CPS

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day and be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull bend multiple times a day.
  • Ability to walk with items in hand, grasp and reach as needed.
  • Ability to perform with repetitive maneuvers and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work in an office environment.
